Hi all,

I just finished up this pair of small hunters, and would value any feedback or critique anyone is willing to offer (design, craftsmanship, materials choices, photos, etc.) Thanks in advance for your comments!

- 1/8" O-1 w/ full-height flat grinds
- ~3" tip to plunge, ~7 1/2" OAL
- Bocote scales on clip point (these almost looked bookmatched before I worked them, but they sure turned out very differently when finished.)
- Desert Ironwood scales on drop point
- Hand rubbed satin finish on blades
- Stainless pins and thong tubes

Very nice, I like the flow of both. I have had some trouble with the thong hold being so close to the edge of the wood, so I moved it in a bit. Ironwood should be ok, but some types of wood you will loose that little piece below the tube.

godogs and Mike Q., thanks for your very nice compliments!

Patrick, thanks for your input. It's probably a good idea to move that hole a bit further from the edge, particularly with more fragile woods. Thanks for the suggestion.

Very nice looking knives Paul. I really like the Bocote scales on clip point as well as the clip point shape of the blade.
Cheers Ron.

Hey man  now you're talkin' !!

Those are 2 really good looking knives

Bird & Trout, Moose & Mink. To me those look like they would make some great little pelters too.

Nice work :)

Man I like those. Very clean and elegant. Only concern would be the thong hole being so close to the end of the wood on the one.

Very nicely done, they look great.

Nice, clean work.
Just a matter of taste, I would prefer the ricasso line slightly at an angle.
