Well I've been contemplating this for a while and I'm ready to put these up for sale. I'm offering this pair of MIL-TAC's model CE-1 and CE-2 as my first sale on this forum. As this is my first sale I'm bound to make some mistakes or leave something out so feel free to ask questions and I'll answer as fast as I can. I bought the CE-2 single edge utility type blade and the Brigade QM while stationed at FT. Campbell and I fell in love with it so last year I picked up it's predecessor, the double edged CE-1.
Both blades are roughly 5.5 inches long with an overall length of 11 inches. The CE-1 weighs in at 7.1 ounces and the CE-2 coming in at .6 ounces more. Stock is basic .002 440C with a matte gray bead blasted finish. Handle scales are black linen micarta.
Neither knives have seen use other than my handling them and they have not cut a single thing. The grinds are extremely even and so are the bevels. They still have the edge that came from MIL-TAC so they could use some honing. While these are production knives they are hand-finished and upon handling them it's apparent. If you guys are familiar with the hide fighter by Steve Woods, they're very similar. The CE-2 would definitely stand up to some serious stuff, CE-1 however is needle-sharp and intended for soft targets only, and while it is a dagger it has sort of a leaf shape to it that gives it a small belly so it'll cut. Think Applegate-Fairbairn mini-smatchet. Feel in the hand is great and balance is good as well.
Both blades came sterile which some like, some don't. Both also have matching Spec-Ops brand sheaths. They're fully MOLLE good to go and have thick Kydex inserts in them. The Kydex is extremely soft, quiet, and silky smooth.
Price is gonna be $150 a piece and I'll sell the pair at $225 shipped. Paypal preferred.
I'm about to take delivery of a full custom by Tim Horan that set me back and this will help me defer the ass-pain I'm taking from the woman on the money I spent on that.
