Just a quick pic of a pair of sub-hilts I finished today. Unsharpened and unsheathed, I'll work on that tomorrow.

Blades are O-1, double hollow ground, parkerized and gun koted.
Guards and sub-hilts are black paper micarta.
handles are black linen micarta with SS Corby bolts
Top one has a 6 inch blade and 11 inches over all
Bottom one has a 7 inch blade and is 12 inches over all.

Thanks for looking

handle contours look amazing, and the blade and forward hilt are sweet, but I am having some problems with the angularity of the sub hilt. Personally, I think these knives would look awesome without the sub hilt.

Thanks Lorien, These are customer knives and he wanted them as sub-hilts.

I think the subhilt guards look fine. I would choose to not have the blades coated, but as you have posted, that would have been the customers choice. Overall, I like the design.

Very nice looking knives, however IMO the coating looks a little bazaar on this style knife.

Guards and subhilts are black paper micarta???

Was this the customers request too? Cant quite fit that into my head.......
