"Palm-Ivory Gent's" Bowie

Hey all,
I've had a lot of folks asking me about starting to make mosaic damascus. Well, I've gotta get a new cylinder for my press before I begin that and here's how I plan to fund the change-over. This blade has a beautiful ladder pattern and the mix of a mortise-tang construction with the ivory scales and a solid hidden-tang throat. I hope you like the combination.

"Palm-Ivory Gent's" Bowie
This bowie knife has a 6 1/4" blade of 350 layer "ladder patterned" damascus with a beveled clip. The blade is forged from 5160 & 15N20 steels. The knife is 11 1/2" overall. The guard and butt-cap are nickle-silver. The handle is Mammoth Ivory with a throat cross-cut and stabilized Black Palm wood with stainless steel pins and black spacers. The knife comes with a tooled leather blade sheath with a "Floral/Flourish" carving by Tess, of course.

I just got the knife this morning (having been out of town) and it's a piece of art. No damage in shipping, and chalk up a happy customer. The fit and finish on these knives is impeccable. Perfectly balanced (just a touch hilt heavy like it should be) and feather light for its size. He also included a padded nylon carrying case.

A beautiful blade.
