palmgren 1x42 belt grinder

does anyone know what horsepower this grinder is? also, would it be easy to put a different, more high powered motor in the place of it?

for roughly that price you should look at a Kalamazoo 1x42. 1/3 horse Baldor motor on those. my first grinder was a 'zoo 1x42. I have a KMG now and I still use my 'zoo for some things.

You would find that Palmgen a terrible machine to use for knife making. There isn`t a wheel to grind against and no platen either . Frank

Grizzly 1x42 is cheaper and has an 8 inch disc sander also.
