The brass chassis has a thin coat acrylic that I airbrushed on. Its easily wiped off with lacquer thinner if you want to let the brass mellow and tarnish for a more steam punk look. Smooth action with a very pleasing mechanical sounding and feeling blade action. With original makers card from 2024 (I am original owner)
