Lately I've been EDCing a Manix. Live the thing but I find the pockey clip to be a pain at times so I figured I'd dress it up. Here is the start of its new outfit. I molded the leather last night. Tonight I started carving the web. I used heavy leather so the carving won't hinder it's durability. If it turns out as planned it will be USMC Black with a silver belt clip double stitched and rivited on the back for east on/off access. I'm gonna war it on my left hip. Cheers.

Does look good. But will the carving show up once you've dyed it? Seems the black on black would mask it.

Thanks guys. As for the dye, I guess I'll find out. I like the look of flat black embosing, I'm hoping that the carving will have a similar effect but be a bit more defined. This is just the first. If it ges well I plan to try another dying maybe dying the web another color. I'm also toying with an idea of doing a wire inlay securing it with epoxy and threading the wire inside the lining it with suede or something else. That'll be much further down the road once I've consulted some experts. As far as leather goes I'm still a beginner. I'll post some follow up pics down the road. Cheers.

Thanks again guys. Redneckone, I can do both but for this one I'm going to throw a belt clip on it. I like being able to pull some sheaths on and off without having to remove my belt. Cheers.
