pants good for EDCing lots of stuff

I'll throw my .02 in for Cabela's Nailhead trail-hiker cargo pants. Tough as hell, deep front pockets, real buttons on the cargo pockets, (can't stand velcro on those), big thick belt loops, and did I mention tough? They come unlined or flannel lined. Great pants.

I wear Carhartt jeans all winter long. Sometimes flannel lined, sometimes normal. TOugh as nails, warm (flannel lined- warm enough to bike in 10*F). Enough room for testicals specticals wallet and watch.

Everything else goes in my jacket.

About a year or so ago, I bought some Levi's from the local store and also ordered a pair of jeans from www.duluthtrading.com; the Duluth jeans are line with "Fire Hose" canvas, which they also used to reinforce the seams. Today, my Levi's either have ripped pockets or rips in the jeans themselves. The Duluth's only look more faded. Plus the pockets in the Duluth are deep with a wide enough opening to fit my whole hand in.

The only thing I don't like about them is the price, around $40.
