D2 is my favorite steel for carving tools and this knife makes a great EDC.
At the suggestion of one of the forum members, we have begun to hand-rub the blades and bolsters with finer and finer grits. We have been spending more time at the hand-rubbing so the knives look more "finished" and (I think) elegant. I very much appreciate the comments I've gotten from the forum members.
