Title explains all , but I've been looking at edc blades and I've come down to these two I'm open to other suggestions also

IMO this one is a no-brainer.

If you don't mind the added cost, I definitely recommend the Para2. The delica's a great knife but I strongly prefer the compression lock to backlocks. Not to mention the F&F and materials are much better on the Para2.

The Delica is a great knife but personally I prefer the PM2 for the following reasons:

1) Compression lock vs back lock
2) G-10 vs FRN
3) CPM S30V vs VG-10
4) Longer cutting edge
5) Better ergonomics (IMO)

I bought both & gave the ffg Delica to my little brother. My Para 2 has replaced all my other modern folders. The Delica is a good knife but I hate the back lock & the frn isn't for me. The whole knife when compared to the Para 2 just feels unrefined & kinda cheap.

I have EDC'd both a FFG Endura 4 and a PM2, and both for extended periods (1-2 years each). And, while I like the PM2 better as far as design, looks, and performance are concerned, I now more often carry an Endura 4 FFG for these reasons:

(a) they're cheaper, so I don't mind thrashing on them (whereas the PM2 is approaching "grail" status for Spyderco's);
(b) they're easier to find if I need to replace one (or I just want another one or two or eight of them);
(c) they come in more colors (so I can match my knife to gear/watches/clothes if I so choose);
(d) they're easier (IMHO) to disassemble and reassemble (I take apart my EDC knives fairly regularly to thoroughly clean/lube them, so that's an important factor for me);
(e) I find the VG-10 easier to sharpen (whether touching up on a ceramic rod, or serious work on an Edge Pro Apex).

I still LOVE my PM2's, but most days (when I'm not carrying a traditional folder) you'll find me with an Endura ... AND a Delica FFG (I guess that's one more reason - I can have matching sets. Endura front right pocket, and Delica front left):

PM2. I have both, and while the delica is a bit more people friendly, the difference in size between the two is negligible, specially when folded. If you can justify carrying the delica, you can justify carrying the PM2 if that makes any sense.

And to be honest, the PM2 is one of the best knives out there period. Considerably better than the delica in every possible way (lock, blade steel, ergonomics, speed, blade shape etc.).

The para might be harder to find and buy but it's still a production knife, and will always be somewhat available. Even though it costs a bit more, it's worth every penny over the delica. And if you're like me, you wont' carry 37 knives on you. One is enough, and the better option is the PM2.

Para 2, end of story. But as explained by link2derek you'll just end up for in love with it, care for it, and hence hardly use it. The Delica 4 is cheap and easy to replace, and more people friendly.

Both are great knives...iconic Spydercos. May I suggest you add the Stretch to your list of considerations. Also a remarkable tool !

I love my PM 2 but I actually EDC my Delica more. Like others have already mentioned the Delica is cheaper, more people friendly easy to replace and easy to maintain and sharpen. Go for a PM 2 but I'm sure you'll be picking up a Delica in the near future also :D

Thanks guys il save up awhile for the pm2

If you have to "save up" for the PM2, just go ahead and buy the Endura 4 FFG. It cuts every bit as well, maybe better than the PM2.

The Para2 does have a better lock, nicer handle made from better material, and better blade steel, but it isn't "twice" as good. The FFG Endura is an incredible cutter and the '4 is very sturdy with the full skeletonized steel liners in the handle. The Endura is also easier to carry because it's thinner and lighter.

I love my Para2's, but if I only had $100 to spend, I'd rather have an Endura as well as a Delica for a backup at home, in case I lost my daily user.

Don't worry, you'll end up with both - LOL!!

And, unless you are willing to hard use your PM2, you'll end up carrying an Endura more often than you think, or - as mentioned above - the Stretch, which is another good alternative.
