Para 2 upgrade recommendations needed!

Have you sharpened it a few times already, like in completely removed steel from the factory edge a few times, or do you still run the factory edge?

Do you strop your edges?

It came to me with a mirror edge. I don't really strop. This is more of a I just want one and I'm justifying it by saying I need more than s30v you guys understand. But I told my wife that a regular Millie would make an excellent Fathers Day gift so we will see.

Hehe, ok, understood! :D

In that case you NEED a Tuff in 3V, or else a Cruwear Manix... The Tuff was discontinued end of 2014, and the Manix sprint happened a few months ago, but both can still be found new if you look around.

Yeah, it's about as "no frills" as carbon can come. I kind of agree with the lack of enthusiasm for the CF on the new M4 PM2, but I have the S90V Yojimbo 2 with the Golden peel-ply CF and I like it.
 
I am one of the m4 hopefuls, but the Para 2 I have at the moment is the 204p version and i really like that steel. It seems to stay sharp for a long time. I don't intentionally abuse my knives, but I do use them constantly and consequently they do occasionally get dings on the edge, etc. Sometimes you just gotta cut stuff, even if it might dull the knife... Anyway the 204p has held up remarkably well For me.
 
Buy the bladehq limited run para 2 in M4 with natural g10 handles. Get on the mailing list and snag one when they come out.
