Para 2 vs ZT 550

I like my 0551 a lot, and I find myself carrying it more and more. While it is a bit thick, and blocky, it carries well in a jeans pocket. I forget it is there. It is one overbuilt, tough folder, and that's what I like. The only knife I currently carry as an alternative is my 0560. It is thinner but longer, so that's the trade off.

BTW, a local brick & mortar has a 0550 listed on their website for $212!!! Called and asked what generation... it's a Gen2... dang tempting to go down and check it out!!! Dang tempting!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Go check out that 0550! Nothing will substitute for getting one in your hands. Hold it, open and close it a few times, get a feel for the heft, try it in your pocket (if you can convince the sales clerk that you are just testing "pocketablility"... Then, hand it back to the clerk, and come back to Bladeforums and buy one for $60.00 less on the exchange. :)
 
I won't be able to get there today, I don't think... and I am heading out of town this weekend. This should give me some time to cool my jets! :)

As nice as the 0550 is though (and it is nice)... that new 0566 that ZT is coming out with later this year looks very intriguing too! Uses stainless instead of titanium, but has basically the exact same design to the metal scaled side. Looks pretty sharp.
