Para 3 Lightweights thoughts

It's got a longer blade and more of it is cutting edge. I guess it doesn't have a choil but I don't typically grip a knife by one anyway.

Yes, I like the additional cutting edge for sure. But more cutting edge doesn't equate to "more useable." In many cases being able to grip a knife closer to the cutting edge (as with a choil) is going to provide better control and precision.

It really just all comes down to what you use a knife for and what you prefer.

It’s what the Para3 should’ve been from the beginning.

Assuming they get detent, action, and lockbar tension correct (Golden knows compression locks) I’m likely to get one for myself and several for family.

I would love to see some variation in FRN colors.

I think that will make a killer review, "Para 3 LW | Bugout Killer?"

Knife to knife, also steel to steel, geometry to geometry.

Stoked to see, I love my bugout

I don't necessarily agree, I don't like the dimensions of the pm2 for me, but the para3 is perfect for a daily carry knife. And I appreciate that it uses same materials as the PM2 since the dimensions were the main limiting factor to me. [And for some people that are gov-regulated]

I do like this though. It is a mix between a Para3 and a Delica4 which should be great for a daily carry blade.

I'm glad there are two para3 styles to choose from now.

I am excited, as I love the Para 3 and I really love Spydercos wire clip. I'll be getting one for sure as soon as they release.

But, it probably won't kick my Bugout out of my pocket.

For those of us living in a whole different country from Benchmade, where sending in our Benchmades for spring replacement is not an option, the Para 3 looks like it will absolutely be a Bugout-killer.

Needless to say, I'm very excited!

My thoughts on all LW and FRN Versions :D

I don't see the point, the Para 3 is light to begin with. The FRN looks bad on the LW Para 3.

I'm sure I'd really enjoy the BD1N. Honestly the only thing putting me off for now is that I just can't handle black FRN anymore. Too boring. I'm ridiculous about the colors thing, I know.
This really annoys me too. I was really hoping we'd see some more translucent FRCP in the lightweights. A see-through emerald green para 3 would have been awesome.

Otherwise I really like the idea. I'm always pro frn, wire clips and presumably lower price points.

If it sells well then maybe we'll even get to see a Salt version in Yellow/LC200N!
