Para 3 LW vs PM2

Pay the extra and get something not BD1N. I would equate it to VG10 in actual use, which is a noticeable step down from S45VN, which will have moderately higher edge retention and good toughness.

If you have big hands, get the pm2, otherwise the pm3 is more than enough knife. The Maxamet pm3 is actually my first over 200$ knife lol.

Good luck!
Makes sense, my glove size is XL and L gloves are too snug and tear as I try to put them on

I would prefer not to go small but my current edc is smaller than the pm2
People with large hands have absolutely reported the Para 3 as inadequate. You can see small, med and large hands on the PM2 right here: https://www.bladehq.com/cat--Spyderco-Paramilitary-2-Review--3425 and I think it'll def be sufficient for large hands. The PM2 is absolutely great. Cruwear and S45VN readily available, and you just wrote no S110V so that's perfect as Cruwear is a sharpener's friend and S45 ain't bad too.

Military is also great. Liner-lock, though. Tough one. Do not know if they upgraded steels to S45.

Of the three I’d say the PM2. Personally, for the type of use you are talking about, I would go with a Native, Manix, or Endura with one of the “longer” edge holding steels. That’s just personal preference though.

Welcome to BladeForums D db98 !

I have XL hands, and rotate out a trio of Para 3's, with different steels, for workplace carry, due to blade length restrictions.
I'm used to them, and they don't bother me in the least. Of course, I always grip them using the forward choil.

One of my "workers"

I tried out a Para 3 LW recently, and didn't care much at all for it. It feels like a plastic utility knife (with a very good blade) to me.
It would be perfect for someone like a through-hiker or ultra-light backpacker, I guess.

Here's what I did with the LW: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/post-your-spyder-pics.447311/post-21090894

I haven't tried SPY27 yet, but I will, eventually.

I usually carry a PM2, when I'm not at work.
