I picked up two of the recent Para 3 sprints and am really enjoying them. The handles are a tad slick and both have a hint of side to side play, not bothered by either issues. My only real complaint was that I had to knock down some sharpish edges along the handle with a sharpmaker rod.

Really like the knife. I don't have any complaints.
Out of twelve spyders only one of them has/had issues.
Apparently that exclusive only comes in uncentered blades edition .

Only disappointed that I don't get to try m4 steel other than when it needs sharpened.
Very happy that the wife is carrying a spyderco !!

Satin finish S30V. The standard model really. These things are getting hard to find really. Same as most blades on my radar.

Just ordered the G10 myself. Had to really dig around but found a satin S45VN.

I love the LW version of the Para3, but really like the G10 a lot less. I think Spyderco got the frn grip just right, especially the way it carries in (and out) of the pocket. I have no use for an oversized lanyard hole taking up space.

If you want to keep a smooth action while preventing side-to-side blade play, slightly favor the washer/partial liner side when adjusting the pivot.

I frequently carry a Rex 45 one, performance is really awesome and it is more corrosion resistant than most think. It darkens a bit on its own if not oiled and you just have to remember not to let anything salty or corrosive sit on it. You can avoid patina almost entirely by keeping it oiled I just prefer the natural look.

Also they don’t always have the best action when they’re brand new but don’t adjust anything let it break in on its own and give it a few hundred cycles before you touch the screws.
