I'd rather have the demko myself. I like the pm2. the pm3 just doesn't do anything the pm2 can't do well already. other than legal limit stuff. that aside, I'd rather just carry and use a pm2.
For an edc slicer I like the para 3 better than the pm2 because it's smaller and I don't need the extra blade length. Plus I don't have large hands and the handle on the pm2 is too big for me.I'd rather have the demko myself. funny.....that's why I like the pm2. full size handle for good control and smaller blade. meaning smaller than what the handle space could allow. built to be a good slicer and user without the biggest blade possible. normally I prefer a bigger blade folders, but this design makes a lot of sense to me.For an edc slicer I like the para 3 better than the pm2 because it's smaller and I don't need the extra blade length. Taiwan can’t seem to get the lock right.
There are a lot of different opinions hereI’ve had a Para 3 lightweight and AD20.5 kicking around my house for a few years now. They’ve both been used a lot and dropped a lot. Para 3 is better, better to carry, better design, better durability.
Guess the only way to find out is to buy 10 AD20.5s and see if they're consistent. It's a hit or miss as I can see here in the comments, some people like it, some people don't..I have 8 20.5's and none of them have any wiggle at all. Not that I'm saying Taiwan is incapable of pumping out bad product.
The AD20.5 is really fun to fidget with but I am not a huge fan of the shark lock tab, the jimping is kind of sharp and mine got very sharp deformations after being dropped which I had to sand down. There are a lot of different opinions hereguess I'll buy an AD20.5 on Amazon to try it out, and return it after a week or so. I know I won't be disappointed with the Para 3, but hey I wanna try something new.
Don't tempt me. I'm already struggling to not buy that tanto and I really want to try the Cub model.Guess the only way to find out is to buy 10 AD20.5s and see if they're consistent. It's a hit or miss as I can see here in the comments, some people like it, some people don't..
Ya I’m sure there are some good ones out there. One of the 3 I had started out rock solid then developed play after 6 months of use. Demko has awesome customer service so they replaced it with a brand new one. So even if you get one with issues you will be taken care of.I have 8 20.5's and none of them have any wiggle at all. I bought 3 Demkos, still getting a Para 3 though, just waiting for the new salt version to come out. What ended up happening here?
HmmI have two Demkos and went through two Para 3s. The last P3 in M4 is going to be sold simply because it really does not fit well in my hand. I love the compression lock but the Demkos just work better for me. End of the day it's all up to personal preference.
I can't even name 12 different PM2sFunny you should ask, nikshichuThe PM2 happens to be my favorite Spyderco and my daily carry. I went through a period of time trying/buying PM2s with different steel and blade shapes including the Wharncliffe. I still have 12 of them currently so I evidently was a little obsessed for a time
