Para detent, lock bar, pivot adjustment

My FG Para has a lockup similar to that of KiloGolf92's pic. It engages the tang by about the thickness of the locking liner so it certainly feels that there is plenty of reserve for self-adjustment.

The pivot has been adjusted reasonably tight so there is not much blade movement when opened, as a result the knife certainly is not "flickable" but I rather like it that way.

It's funny how much quieter the Para is to open than the Manix. The latter will wake up the neighbours and scare birds in trees when the lock engages, the Para just makes a quiet comfortable click and that's it.

Every knife is different is pretty much a universal truth in this hobby.

I tightened the pivot and now the blade play is much improved and there is greater handle detention. It's still very much "flickable" though.

Frankki, I like the way you describe the BBL :p Myself I'm used to a loud clack indicating lockup so the comfortable little click from the compression lock is something to grow accustomed to.

Ah, not the BBL but the Manix I with that very beefy backlock. :)

Actually, never tried a model with BBL so I don't know how that sounds and feels.
