I just got my new Paramilitary. I love the design and the fit & finish is exceptional on this one, except the lock bar constantly sticks. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Have you tried the old trick of rubbing the lead from a pencil onto the contact areas of the tang and stop pin? If that doesn't work, I'm sure it'll wear in over several dozen openings.

when I first got a Yojimbo the lock stuck constantly just put a bit of pencil lead on the lock surface and play with it and your problems should go away.

Thanks, the pencil suggestion helped. Still a little sticky, but not nearly as bad as it was.

I have a SS ATR, the lock started out pretty sticky. Still is, and probably always will be.
It's just one of the personality traits of the mechanism.

I have a Para, have owned a Yojimbo and played with the ATR and the Lil Temp. None of the ones I've played with thus far have had a sticking problem. It certainly is a problem that happens every so often on compression, liner and frame locks, but not that often.

My new foilage green paramilitary has the same problem.I hope it smooths up with regular use.I'll ry the pencil lead trick.thanks

After opening it a good bit and using pencil lead it's still sticking more than I'd like. Has anyone sent their knives in to Spyderco for this? Can they fix it? I'm thinking about sending mine in along with some other knives for general maintenance.

My Para had a lock that seemed sticky. It fixed itself after a few hundred cycles.
