It seems to me that everytime I go with some other brand of folding knives, I end up disappointed even though other companies make great knives. I don't really have a lot of knives, but 2 smart choices I made were the manix and the chinook III. I love how they carry, how the g10 is, blade steel and shape, and the improtent part is the lock. Everyime I drift away to try something new, I end up being disappointed as I keep expecting the same feel from spydercos. I fine example is selling a military I had cause I didn't do enough research to know that lock wasn't going to fail. My pointed finger still doesn't look right from a previous bad liner lock experince and I've been kicking myself ever since. So going back to spyderco I was wondering if anyone had pics of a paramilitary and manix or chinook side by side so I could see size difference. I hear a lot about the para-military and I know I really like my lost military.

You know you really like a company and design when you'd be happy with a rusty, nicked up solid lock up as long as it was that model.

Here's the Para and Manix

Get the Para and you will never regret it. It carries well, it is solid, it is very lite, it has a full flat grind. The compression lockup is very solid and secure. The G10 handles have just the right amount of grippiness. I had mine converted to tip up carry by STR - a good investment.

Nothing like green to make you feel good, right?

Right. Especially if you have all the green in Jill's picture.
Or Benjamins would make me feel good, at least until I spend them on FG Spydies. :D
