Para Military or Endura?

I like that Friction folder!^
And, I have to agree... thin, is in. In the pocket! Years ago, I didn't mind a bulkier folder in my pocket but now I prefer the slimmer folder. One hardly knows the knife is in the pocket but it is.
Hi Jack! Just admit you'd EDC an Endura. ;)

Well, I have done so off and on, most recently when the clip broke on my CF Chaparral. But the Para2 will never come close as long as I still have a Military, or a Pattada, or a Hungarian, or a Dyad, or a Manix2 LW, or a SpyderHawk or... I could go on, but you get the picture. I haven't carried a Delica since I got an Endura, and the Endura is pretty far down on my list of what I'd carry.

Para 2 is a great knife. Emerson Endura is one of the best user knives made. Either one will make you happy. Personally i appreciate the thicker tip on the Emerson Endura and find the sacrificed slicing ability from not having the full flat grind a worthwhile tradeoff in a working knife.

I've had an Endura of one species or another with me since 92. I do carry others along with it sometimes like the Cruwear or 52100 millie, and now the Cruwear PM2. I feel strange without the Endura in fact. I'm so used to it I can get it out faster and with more control than any of my autos. Muscle memory and the very familiar shape and perfect sized opening hole for my fairly clumsy arthritic hands. When I am carrying a second knife and go to use my knife the Endura is brought out and opened without thought. I have to stop and remind myself to take out the extra knife I'm wanting to break in or test.

BTW I don't go around flicking knives open thoughtlessly just to be clear about what I'm saying. It would be rare for anyone to notice I'm using or carrying a pocket knife in public outside of my house . I feel it's better for me this way.

Thanks, Gentlemen!
I totally agree with The Mastiff.
The Endura was my first Spyderco and after all these years of flipping folders, the Endura will always be in my rotation.

It continues to amaze me that a $60 Endura (or Delica) out performs knives costing 6-7X more.

My formerly NOS Gen 1 Endura, has for the most part put the PM2 in the drawer. Its surprisingly approaching equal time with the Delica.

Understood!^
The Delica can do all the Endura can do. Why carry a bigger folder?
Can ya tell I'm getting older?

Both knives come in many great steels. For the standard models I actually prefer g10 over s30v.
My personal favourite is the waved Endura.

Do not be amazed. ^
Sal is always fine-tuning.

Yup, always fine-tuning. :D

As far as been I've been able to tell there were 3 iterations of the Gen 1 Endura. The third with the last version of the plastic belt clip, and the updated serration pattern. All pretty much following the configuration in the Gen 2 Delica.

ok, last time I'll post these pics

Delica zdp. Just because zdp is hard as hell, and the Delica is the perfect size for 99% of day to day tasks

In the auto shop environment, the Delica is the perfect size. On weekends and days off, the pm2 hands down.

I almost always pick the PM2. To the point that I no longer own an Endura. Not through any fault of the Endura. Not even really due to anything relating to a cutting task. I just like to fidget with the compression lock.
