That's interesting, I remember hearing something about that. There were no details of any kind that I knew of. That is a shame, Spyderco does an awesome HT of CPM-D2.:thumbup:

It was mentioned that there might be a Para-Military2 coming with Carbon Fiber and CTS-20CP steel from Carpenter. Little mix-up there. So, here's the scoop!

The C81CFP2 is a Para-Military2 with Peel Ply Carbon Fiber scales and CPM-S90V (Crucible Steel). The C81CFP2 is targeted for release by the end of this year.

The C81GGY20CP2 is a Para-Military2 with Gray G-10 scales and CTS-20CP (Carpenter's equivalent to S90V). The C81GGY20CP2 will be a 2011 release.

Both of these are slated to be Sprint Runs.

And no (I'll beat ya'll to asking), I don't have any more detailed ETA info. ;)

I am definitely looking forward to getting one of those CPM-S90V or CTS-20CP Para 2s.
 
For the first time in my life, I'm seriously considering a knife with an S90V blade. I need to go back to bed.
 
I work a 7 day on schedule and the have a week off. It's so bad now I have to schedule my deliveries so they arrive while I'm home so I can intercept the postman before my better half does.

However, that did not work for the Para2. I thought I'd receive mine before heading to Boy Scout camp. Well my wife now knows I've added another to the collection. :eek:

I just hope my bags aren't in the driveway when I get home. :confused:

(BTW, I scored a Starmate too and confirmed it won't ship till late this week!) :p
