Just had a look at my Para D2 and it looks as if its 4 washers but on closer inspection its 2 washers.
The reflection makes it look as if its 4 washers

If you stick a piece of paper in there it will cover the reflection and you will see that there are only 2 washers.:thumbup:

I have a tenacious lying around somewhere, the washers seemed larger if I recall correctly, I may try swapping them in the para to see if it stiffens up the pivot area a tad....for the obsessive compulsive

btw I think the para is the ultimate ecd folder period!

I'll do the paper trick when i get home, look at my pics on page one, doesn't look like reflection to me.

I may even take pics of the paper trick if it proves to be 4 washers

Why do they have washers? My Delica doesn't and it opens smooth & no wiggle. I'm curious do other Spydercos have washers also? Unless they are hidden in the knife i don't see any washers.

The "washer lottery" has been around for awhile. Here's an old thread from a few years ago about extra washers in a Paramilitary. That was back when the ultra-thin, orange plastic washers were standard.

You don't seem to hear about the PB washers getting doubled quite as often, but I guess it's still an issue. It would be interesting to get an authoritative answer as to why this happens (accidental or intentional), but that might ruin a lot of the fun in these threads.

The FRN Delica 4 does have washers. They’re difficult to see but there.

Yeah I can barely see it. Guess if I took them apart I would see them pretty good. Guess the washers are to keep it smooth without slop?? Works for mine. Just wondering about the washers because I never owned a knife with them...wait maybe I just didn't see them
