Hi fellas,
I just received a Mini Manix, and am totally impressed with this baby
The handle ergo, fit like it was made for me..at this point, this one becomes leader of the pack.
The M Manix needs a friend, I really am having a time figuring out, which one.
A Para Military or the Military? Regarding the lengths its no problem,as I often carry a CS Voyager which when open or closed,is aprox the same length as the Millie. As far as use, well just for edc carry and stuff :D

Peace Out,

Dave

Flip a coin! I like the compact P-Mil. ;)

lol you might have the answer

I prefer the Military all the way. I love the ergonomic oversized (though slim and lightweight) handle and 4 inches blade. I like the compression lock alot but overall Paramilitary is too small for my taste.

Now, Military with compression lock - that would be something!

Go for the para... compression lock is the best and D2 is great...!
Good luck
Thanks.. I think the coin toss is leaning that way,as I do have some big folders already. The Kershaw ZT 500 and the JYD ll and a lest some 30 assorted fixed blades.

well, it seems that you have already made up your mind but FWIW I feel that the millie is the best production folder out there period (on a side note, I own 5 millies and only 1 para)

No I'm still tossing the coin today..I guess what I'm looking at is,why some would rather have the Para, than the Millie or vice versa. Then I will be able to decide, I hope :p

I like them both equally. The Para is less intimidating around NKP and the longer blade of the Military is better for food prep. Truth be told, I couldn't decide either, so I have a few of each.

It seems like most of the people that have paramillies havent bought a millie because of the liner lock.
It is a very sucure liner lock, Sal wouldnt let a lock out the door if it was unsafe.

I'd carry the Para over the Military because when I use the Military I spend most my time in the choil, so it makes sense for me to pick a knife designed more around that grip. I also prefer the shorter blade length and compression lock.

That said I've been carrying a CFBG42 Military every day lately (While I wait for my Para to come back in the mail for a tip up conversion).

OK I new it would come to this, I tried,I really did ;) not to have both models,
buts its in evadable. I'm falling deeper into the Spiders web and cant get out.

If you dont have any compression lock, buy the para.
If you dont like liner locks, buy the Millie. It will change your mind.
If you can, buy both.

Do you want something big, or do you want something that's pretty close to your Mini Manix in size? I personally prefer the smaller Paramilitary, because anything larger isn't as comfortable to carry in my opinion. The handle is large enough to be very comfortable, and the blade length is enough for me and allows great tip control.

I guess if you have bigger hands, don't mind losing pocket space, and need the extra inch of edge, then the Military is for you.
