Para or Military?

ehhh I think the Mini Manix and Para would make a great team

what i want is a tip up, compression lock military.

like others, i love the compression lock, but find the militaries size far more useful. and it doesnt really take up too much more pocket space. nice, thin profile makes carry almost unoticeable. at least compared to the para.

Thats a good concise view:thumbup: So now you guys have me leaning toward the millie

CPM s90v, CPM s30v, bg42, and CPM D2.
The Millie has some great choices in blade steels and handle type.

yes, it does! ;)
just got my 2nd Millie in BG-42, if you lean towards the Military you may want to start with one of those as I wouldn't expect them to be available for long
anyways, I prefer this version over the S90V one, because they seem to have a slightly better fit & finish plus the bg42 is definitely easier to resharpen

Well I did it!! :D ordered the BG-42 Steel Carbon Fiber Handle
Can't wait :p

The CF BG-42 Millie is a great model. I love the steel. The Millie is big but it fits the hand perfectly and cuts without fail. The Para'a compression lock is not a liner lock. Spyderco's D2 is awesome. Depending on what you wear, sometimes the Millie is going to work and sometimes the Para will work. The Para cuts like a big knife, so does Chad's Lava design.
Sorry to do this to you but my vote is for both. I recommend carrying two blades. I'd use the Para as my Utility blade (PC/Sheeple) and the Millie as my SD/get me out of here trouble knife.

Now...after these arrive..do I really still want a Sage?

Just touching base.

Recived the Millie on the weekend, It's all you fellers said, and more!
It is truly light weight to carry, but a heavy weight for use.
I should have purchased one sooner,my next purchase willbe the Para:D

Congrats on the Millie, BD! Having both, I prefer the BG-42 over the S90V model. I find the BG-42 easier to sharpen and able to be touched up in the field. Either way, you can't go wrong.

YESIREE!
Did you really get one?
No haven't seen one in stock yet, where I order from.
So I ordered a Sage this afternoon, then the Para, in a week or three. Hopefully by then, the store will have the UKPK in. :D
