Para2 M390 worth it?

I think it is worth the $200 price tag I have to pay (I live in California and have to pay nearly 10% taxes). I really like the knife, so if there is a $75 premium...I'd just pull the trigger and get it.
 
Very nice steel, and a nice knife. A year from now, you'll still have the knife and forget that it cost you that extra hundred bucks. I do that sort of thing all the time; maybe that's why I'm always broke.

I decided to get one mostly because I prefer the blue G10 way more than black or digi-cam. The steel is great so that was just an added bonus.
 
I hear it all the time when it comes to gas prices we have almost the lowest in the world. But here we are complaint
 
have you handled one first hand? expesnive for a knife you havent handled. why not buy it off ebay or something for cheaper, that guy is ripping you off shipping wise!

We don't know how much shipping is in this case. He's paying a premium because the knife isn't available to him domestically.
 
Just got easy. The guy bumped up the price to well over $340.

Got a S30V one on the way, if I realy like it I might try to get a M390 somehow form the states later on.

I might be the only person to say this but I just don't like m390. For me it loses its shaving edge faster then any of the other top steels (xhp, 20cp,zdp, elmax,vanax75,). It settles into a decent working edge but I noticed that with all the steels above mentioned but they all seem to settle into slightly sharper working edge then m390s settling point. Now, a few of those steels might become unworkable before m390 but I never let my blades get to that point anyway. Hope I explained my point well enough to be understood :o. I know it has a lot to do with ergos but I ha e all those steels with similar spyderco ffg, all besides my krein hollow grinded 0551 so elmax might have to be excluded

There are some middle men. People who buy for 187 after shipping and forward it for the cost of shipping+a tip. See if anyone here is looking to do that

OK, maybe try a different strategy:

Use the S30V until the next sprint run comes along that you can get into. I think some of the sprint runs are closer to the price of the standard model, and maybe you can find a way to get one purchased here and forwarded to you for a better price.
 
I know the DK problem very well...
Last time time I checked, I could buy Benchmade 581 and 755 in M390 steel within the EU.
Got myself a 755. Just love it!
