Paracord bootlace knot?

double everything. when you start the knot, pass the cord through twice, then when you do the loops, pass the loop through twice.

It's known around docks as a 'sailor's shoe knot'

here's the first step on a site-

the finish, going through twice with the loop in the second step, should be easy to figure :)

I have found that "gutted" para-cord seems to hold the knots better for shoelaces. I also "double" knot like Koyote does. Seems to hold fine for me.

As Estela and others that is the best Knot..More so for Synthetic/Cotton cords {as Cotton Swells} Pull on the Tag end's and your free!

I tie a double knot which holds securely, yet still pulls undone when I tug on the tag ends.

I tie the overhand knot, then I take a double wrap next time. Hard to describe. I've seen a diagram somewhere, but I can't find it just now. Meanwhile here's a picture that might help.

We tie a version of this we call "Grandma Norma's knot." (She taught it to us.) Instead of bringing the blue bight through the backside of the knot, we loop the yellow bight around and through again. It's not quite as symmetrical, but it works like a charm, and I find it a more natural motion to tie.

Just before I show it to people, I say, "this is gonna change your life." They don't ever believe me at first, but they come around eventually. :D
