Got in this JFlemming Itty Bitty( tol 6.25in)few days ago, but waiting for the sheath to show up so I can carry it. Just made the rattlesnake lanyard for it. Used some shoelace material that I got while grocery shopping.

That looks fantastic on that knife. I don't think outside of the box enough I would have never have thought of using shoelaces.:thumbup:

EDIT: Oops, this thread is for paracord lanyards, not leather. Sorry! :o

Let's go with this one instead...

Thanks Randy. Usually can find leather shoe laces while at the grocery also:D

Steve, that is an A-1 lanyard!!
Here's another shoelace lanyard, a hangman's noose, if they're legal in this paracord thread ;)

Well, would you look at that.

So very nice!

Once your sheath arrives, please post more pictures (here, with its tail sticking out, and in one of the fixed blade threads?).

Thanks. :-)

The noose is a classic knot! Good one GT
Thanks, Steve; it's the only one I know, so far. But I really like the looks of that rattlesnake one you showed and will have to see if I can find instructions. (I'm also just messing around with simple 3-strand braids as lanyards.)

O.K. hang with me as I try and relay this set up. I recently picked up a two-blade hayin helper. As this is going to be a "dirty jobs, outback" knife. I wanted to be able to secure it to my body. I wear bib overalls most of the time when working outside, so here is what I came up with.

The rattlesnake weave paracord lanyard that Mike sells. No bail added-didn't want that rigidness or wear on the brass or delrin. Added a black paracord loop through the knife and the rattlesnake weave. Removed the steel key ring from Mike's lanyard and used the lanyard backward to achieve my need. WHAT, you are all saying, hear me out. This is the set up:

Now the WHY....remember I wear bibs, well the locking slide allows me to "lock" the lanyard/knife to the rivet-button on the side of my bibs. The knife dangles inside my front pocket without touching the bottom and picking up the trash that ends up down there. And hey, I have two buttons on that side of my bibs, so it is "height adjustable". Backwoods figurin on this one...............

Great eastern cutlery #47 Hayin Helper 2-blade, sheep main pen secondary, orange delrin covers. Pm me if you need more info.

Now that's a really good idea! That's a perfect use for one of those locking buttons.

Yes Sir, it works great. And this particular locking button has two openings, and the paracord had to be routed through both before the rattlesnake was started. I.E. the button can't be accidentally pulled off the paracord. It is captured by the paracord itself.
