Paracord neck safety

I use a plastic Niteize monolock S Biner. They have a low weight rating but are strong enough to handle kids riding on my shoulders.

The addition of a beaded dog tag chain would of course increase the force necessary to cause the lanyard to breakaway

I believe you have mistaken the intent of the mod. There is no connection between the ends of the paracord sheath and all of the inner strands have been removed to make room for the chain. The only thing holding it all together is the connector/coupler on the ball chain. I have no idea what that yield strength is but it can't be much.
