Up for sale are three variations of my Twister models. Normally I grind these from 1/8 inch thick 1095 steel but got a heavier 3/16" thick stock by mistake in my last order. If you've followed my work you'll notice the flats on these blades appear different than usual. This is because the 1/8" material has a thick hard mill scale which I leave on the flats and bake oil into giving a good durable protective coating plus it provides a nice contrast with the grinds. The 3/16" thick steel does not have the
thick mill scale, even though it is hot rolled, and is not suited for a protective coating so it is ground off to give the blade an all steel classic look you see the photos.
I'm only charging $5 more for the heavier blades to make up for material even though there is more grinding and processing time.
