If your looking for the real deal, then the nomenclature you want is: MIL-C-5040H Type III. Saying it's "mil-spec" doesn't really mean shit. The Type III is a bit thicker, but it's a hell of a lot tougher too. You can get it at the following: http://www.bestglide.com/550_cord_info.html
