Sadly, the extended period of pre-sell of the Paradigm hasn't helped my expenditure of knife monies - they just went 'else where'. In just over a year, for example, my collection of two Benchmades increased to sixteen. Most were older stock and nicely priced, but fine knives. In fact, I am about to go to purchase a new this year 755. Announced early this year - and promised by late April - they didn't miss the boat by much. That's how you sell knives... advertise what you can make.
I am reminded of Clint Eastwood's famous quote. "A man has got to know his limitations!". If the production finally gets going - and I get the question from a dealer, "Do you want one? Well, do you?", I'll just say, "Go ahead... make my day!". Yeah, I still want one. The BM 755 will empty the coffers for a while, of course.
I should thank Buck for their slow production - I 'discovered' some neat examples from other makers during the wait. I even rediscovered Boker Tree Brand Classics. I also watched Buck drop some modern 'classics', sad to say (Mayo, Kalinga Pro, etc). I haven't totally lost interest in Buck, however.
