ParaMilitary 2 - Is this normal?

Hey everyone, I received a Paramilitary 2 (Black) yesterday from Knifeworks and noticed the lanyard hole fit/finish is less than to be desired. The metal is not smooth and has tool marks. Do most PM2 have this look on the lanyard holes? Also, all of the hardware is black; I thought the lanyard hole was supposed to be Black as well? Seems like Spyderco pushed it in with some force.

That looks perfectly normal. Looks the same with my 2 para 2s. The lanyard hole is pushed in the G10 liners. Even if you take the knife apart (void warrenty) the liners are hold together by the lanyard stud.
 
Looks like both of mine. I'll check my third when it arrives tomorrow.
 
If the G10 around the tube isn't distorted or separated from the liner I would say it's just fine. I have 2 and they both look like that.
Perhaps you could call Knifeworks and ask to exchange it if it bothers you.
 
Yeah i got nine and their all pretty much the same more or less.
 
I don't see any problem either. If you are going to take a macro lens to stuff you will always find flaws in anything. Does it cut? How does it cut?
 
This is the first thing you noticed when you got this knife? Wow. Enjoy the new blade; the PM2 is outstanding. I just received my 4th two days ago.
 
Thanks for the replies fellas. I just wanted to check and see if they were all like this. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
 
Mine is nicer than yours but mine also has some minor chatter marks.

I can't get over how nice my para2 feels when I flick it open :applause:
