I love my paramilitary 2's but when I take them fishing I always want to take them apart. Well Now I can, I will show anyone interested exactly how to remove the lanyard tube easily and with out damaging anything. I can not upload any pictures now, but if there is interest I will buy a third paramilitary 2 and take you all along the journey with me.

I have done this twice without failure and after the lanyard tube is out I sand down the ends so it can fit back in. SO far there has been no rattling or problems with this modification.

I feel that this method can help out many knife knuts that want custom scales or just simply want to clean their Paramilitary 2. I came up with this method myself, but If I am not the first then I will give credit where it is due.

I basically take one scale off then pry the lanyard tube off of the other scale.

If anyones interested, I will post pictures as soon as I am free.

Please do! If I everrr find an orange backspacer for my para 2 I will need tips on how to take the knife apart. Thanks

You don't have to take the PM2 apart to fit a backspacer ;)

To the OP, love to see some pictures

Yeah, Spyderco's press fit lanyard tubes are both awesome and a curse if not handled carefully...

I know my Gayle Bradley's got a bit smushed trying to muscle it back into place but I managed to reshape it and fit back together; it is 100% solid.:foot::D

Easy does it with those PM2's... ;)

Found that backspacer! In need of guidance to put this baby on efficiently.

I beveled the inside of both g10 scales on the lanyard hole; not much is needed but it made a huge difference in putting everything back together.

Pics of the backspacer would help. :D
