paramilitary 2 or para 3?

I have both. A camo handled satin bladed PM2 in the usual S30V , and a Para3 Blurple in S110v .
I use them both as edc , in various pants(trousers) that I wear.
I prefer the Para 3 as its a 3 inch blade and slightly smaller. Both have been fit with Casey Lynch titanium clips . Great for deep pocket carry.

I have a PM2 and three Para3 (two LW). I carry one of the LW at work, but normally throw the PM2 in my jeans when I get home. Both are great knives, but I am enjoying the BD1N on the LW.

I prefer the Para 2. It just feels and looks better to me. The 3 is cool and all, but it just looks funny to me..the height of the blade compared to the length...

I have to agree with you about the proportions of the Para 3. Once I held it in hand though, it made a lot more sense.

I still can’t get past the clip & lanyard hole on the G 10 version. The P3 LW got it right.

The PM2 and P3 would both be better proportioned if they would squeeze in another quarter inch of blade.

I started with a Maxamet Para 3 in January. Awesome knife which prompted interest in the Pm2. Fell in love with the Pm2's ergo due to my monster sized hands. Now own one each of Maxamet, S110V, S90V, and S30V. Think I've been drawn in hook, line and sinker.

If you want something more discrete but still a similar blade shape consider the Chaparral or the Sages.

I have an FRN Chap with XHP, excellent performance. I think whoever was running the furnace that decided to crank it ALL the way up, the thin grind and very hard steel make an excellent slicer.

Just thought I'd update this thread for anyone who was interested. I ended up with a beautiful paramilitary 2 in earth brown scales and a black s35vn blade. The para 3 I wanted was sold already, but I found the pm2 was actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be. From all the reviews I'd read I thought it was massive but coming from an EDC like my ZT 0562cf, it's incredibly small, thin, and light. It feels a lot smaller than the size suggests at first glance. I can't wait to run this knife into the ground alongside the ZT! Next is to figure out how to get the blade to drop easily on close, if anyone has suggestions or advice in that regard.

Thank you all again for all your input!

I have both and prefer the Para 3. It has enough blade for what I need, and is significantly smaller in the pocket.

I have both, the 3 being the LW version. I absolutely love the 3LW and for me it’s a second or third knife and my Para2 or Kapara rides as number 1. I also carry a Leatherman Skeletool from a belt loop. Seriously you can’t go wrong either way.
