New member here; first post.
So I pre-ordered a Paramilitary 2 (Blurple, S110V) from Knifeworks last November.
Was told the manufacturer estimated delivery 1st quarter 2016.
Still no knife as of 6-11-2016.
All Knifeworks can tell me is they are not getting any from the factory.

Anyone know what's up with the delay?

Very popular knife. I know that a few companies did get small orders recently. A couple sites have sold through the stock already. The two that I was on a email list are both sold out.

There are still companies that have them but I'm betting they won't for long.

It's worth the wait. Hang in there!

It is worth the wait. The PM2 is one of the best knives around. Pair it with that steel and it's the only knife you'll need for 2016. Hang in there!

Also, keep an eye on the Exchange. One went today for $160........it was gone in under 10 minutes!
Got mine off their and I can definitely tell you it's worth it!! Excellent build, perfect action, perfectly centered with an even, and screaming sharp, edge!!
Use mine for work sometimes and don't let it get very dull. Quick touch ups to keep it in shape, rather than sharpen, is the way to go with that steel.
Get one!!!
I got the Manix also and it is just as great!
Good luck!
Joe

There was one for sale for pretty much retail price on these very forums this weekend

I would guess that they are produced in batches and their turn in the production line has not come up yet. The factory is busy producing a number of limited models that we are all waiting for. Spyderco seems to be as busy as ever.

I ordered mine yesterday. Cannot wait to get it. I just checked online, and they are available.

I found two places with them in stock at a reasonable price just on the first Google search results page.

I ordered mine last October and it arrived last week, around 7 months. It was worth the wait.

I think my wife is going to get me one for our anniversary, so I do not mind the wait. I have really been looking forward to this knife.

Exactly why I don't pre order. You're reserving a spot in a line you don't even have to stand in.

I saw my friend at a knife show today and he had 1 on his table. He said he had gotten 10 of them along with some burnt orange stretches. He is from Oklahoma, the sooner state, and has a website where he sells knives as well as on amazon and ebay.

I was talking to him about the people that get fake knives on amazon. He said his come from spyderco so he knows they are good. He said someone had bought a knife from him then complained that it was wrong so he said to send it back. When he got it back he found that they had shipped back a fake.

Mine has been on pre-order about 5 months, I don't mind the wait too bad as long as the quality is there when it comes.

Sal,
Thanks for the welcome. I have the PM2 in a S30, S35 & S110. I've owned a Delica since the mid-90's but just recently started purchasing knives in earnest.

bdmicarta, thanks for the heads up. I found the dealer list. It's a sticky on the "For Sale: Production Knives (Dealer)" forum. National Knives is on the list but only have three left.

I wasn't sure if it is okay or not to mention sites so I didn't mention the stores earlier.

You are only allowed to post names of sites if they are members of BF, and the guy in Oklahoma is not so you might edit your post to remove that name. People frequently post a list of retailers that are members of BF but I can never find it when I am looking for it. Mention a site that isn't on the list and someone inevitably posts the list. I believe the other company that starts with an N is a member but I can't be certain. The last time I tried to buy from them I eventually got a "dear john" letter from them.

i had gotten mine about one month ago but i over paid to get it!as i really don't like the waiting list of 7-10 months or even longer!but this PM2 is truly the best one i have held in my hands, screams golden colorado quality with grate steel.:)

I bought mine as soon as they were available. I bought from my friend's website and paid a little more than the advertised price from some of the BF member retailers but he had the knife available and I didn't have to fight the flippers and scammers to get one. Some people posted that they didn't want to pay more to get one, since it was a regular production item they would just wait until they were in stock. It was worth far more to me than the $5 or $10 extra that I paid to be able to use the knife and not agonize over when they might be available. I sold the sprint run that I had bought to carry and started carrying the burple. I bought the LW S110V Manix 2 and the Cruwear Manix 2 the same way.
