So if you read my last thread I am a big fan of the pm2. I was googling pm2 and say sprint runs. I think they look awesome and a lot more edc friendly. What are all the different colors of g10 that are made for the pm2? Pics would be great.

The current colors that have been made in G10 are

blue
gray
orange
brown

As a non paying member you cant ask about value.
 
The gray is only available on the secondary market, so has inflated pricing. I have read on BF that a second run of the blue will be done, unsure if this is true. The blue sold originally for a higher price ($180) than others. As a result it took longer to sell out. Blue was a dealer exclusive only sold at that retailer. The upcoming green one is also a dealer exclusive IIRC.

All of the variations are occasionally for sale on our sales forum. You can also find them in online auctions but they are usually priced higher there.

You can go to spyderco's site and see information on all of the sprints and dealer exclusives (there is a slight difference between "sprint" and "dealer exclusive").

My understanding is that there won't likely be any new gray or orange models produced but they are available on the secondary market. There are a few knife dealers that have or might have new brown ones available. I have heard rumors that the dealer that commisioned the blue ones is going to have more available later in the year. The last sprint run that was announced but not delivered yet is the green para 2. Nobody really knows when those will be available but theoretically they are already all sold out although they will also show up on the secondary market. All of the PM2's are nice, even the standard black or digicam models.

I agree. I saw some brown ones on ebay.
 
The bottom one is Carbon fiber, I don't have a regular black/S30V sorry.

Actually, IRRC, the early pricing on the orange was least by a good margin. :) I've grabbed a pair of each as they've gone by. :thumbup:

Thanks for telling me that. Can you pre order the green yet if so is it sold out?

Honestly if you're only looking to spend around $100 or a little more.. I'd get one of the s30v ones or the Brown one.
The other ones are going for $200+ each now. The Para2 is a great knife no matter which version you get.

You are probably right. In your opinion does the brown 1 look like crap?
 
I would just get the one you can find a deal on. All of them have very good steel. Good Luck! Kevin :thumbup::D

Well I know they all have good steel. I know you older people (not calling anybody old no harm meant) may not care about color but with my younger age looks really do count.
 
If you just keep your eyes open on the forums you will find what you want. Just like now. An orange one just showed up for sale and they do often. You just have to be on at the right time and have the money ready to spend. :D:D
