I am also guilty of the "late love for the SL" (and its getting more attention now because its going away). It's like the pretty popular girl, which the Para certainly is vs. the one who never really got noticed but is really hot underneath all the frumpy clothes

As someone who's gotten to play with a friend's SNG, the SL kind of strikes me as a "poor man's SNG" but probably feels and cuts better at a far lower price point.
