Paramilitary with Crooked Blade?

Hello all. I'm new to both this forum and the Spyderco forums, as well as Spyderco knives in general. I just got a D2 Paramilitary as a gift, and noticed something odd; When I close the blade, it sits crooked in the handle. It leans towards the non-clip side of the handle.

When I open it, it looks like it straightens out. Today, I looked at the standard S30V model and the blade is centered inside the handles. I also noticed it opens a little easier than mine.

Any ideas how this might happen?

Also, I posted this same question over at the Spyderco forums.

Hey Buddy, Sometimes the clip is a little tight. It can effect the blade position. Try adjusting the screws a little looser. If that doesn't work you could always send it in for factory adjustment.

Hope this helps, Shane

Thanks for the reply. I drove to the factory today and asked them to look at it. They didn't tell me what was wrong with it, but they immediately gave me a new one. I've dealt with a lot of companies, and that's excellent customer service.

The outlet store is great isnt it.
I mean being able to put up with a 16 year old asking to see every thing in the cases for a hour, thats rare.
