Paramilitary?

Yikes, the rumor mill started grinding on this model more than a year and a half ago. Must be a really complicated knife!

A year and a half? I remember scuttle but 2 years plus!
Sounds like a good one. S30V is the only way to fly:)
Hope the temper will be a little higher than the new S30V Sebenza.

We have far more models in design stages than we can produce quickly. We're just a small company.

We show these concept models at shows to get customer feedback. That's where the rumors begin.

Once we decide to build a model, final engineering, tooling, production prototyping, testing and finally production can take many months. Working on about 15 to 20 designs at any given time becomes a juggling act.

Sal, no wonder you've disappeared from your presence in here.
Anxious to see the fruits of your hard work.

Sorry about the grumpy tone of my previous post, Sal. I guess I'm just anxious to get a peek at this highly anticipated and long awaited new model. Like all of us Spydie fans are. Take your time and get it right!

I'm with the rest of y'all on this one. I like this concept of a compact version of the Military model. Not too big, not too small, practical EDC design and built tough with all the latest materials and technology from Spyderco. Gotta be approaching some kind of Zen for a folder that'll handle just about anything and still be easy to carry (And within reach when the credit card statement arrives). Love those big, tactical folders, but I would probably be more likely to carry something like this on a day to day basis. Got my vote!

And a little off-topic, but I have to say thanks to Sal and Company for the VG-10 Delica. Another great design. For something that is compact, sturdy, weighs nothing and a quality product, that one's hard to beat--especially if weight is your concern. I've got the plain edge one and it gets carried (and used) quite a bit for daily chores. Not bad at all. SK
