Paramiltary 2 with CTS-204P or Native 5 with S110V Which one do I keep and use??

Para 2 all day every day. Carried my m390 version almost everyday for the past 14 months. If you plan to actually use the knife you keep for Edc tasks, you should notice very little if any difference in the two alloys.

where is your logic on this? S110V is in a category all its own compared to 204p

I know it is, being more wear resistant than 204p, but 204p is tougher, as in. More to break it. probably not much more ( going by personal use I call that stuff pretty frigging tough for the wear it has)

My cutting tasks are minor and minimal. Either steel would work great.
But there is NO lock like a compression lock. I love it.

Thanks for all the comments so far! :D

I probably should have added that I am not a heavy knife user on a daily basis but more of an Urban EDC'er so my knives see very little use and that is why I dont need to keep too many knives around. :( That being said, I like the N5 as far as a daily non-scary carry for non-knife folks but in reality, I would prefer the longer blade for EDC, SHTF use or for more heavier use if that would come up so still undecided. :D

I even bought one of the K390 Mules and I know that one wont see any use but I guess it was too easy just to add it to my cart when the N5 was being ordered! :D

If you are already thinking the K390 Mule won't wee any use I would sell it and keep the PM2 and the Native 5. If it came down to choosing between the two for me I would keep the Native 5 Forum based upon my initial impression of it and the fact that I have a PM2 M390.

My thoughts exactly. I absolutely love my s110v Native5 thus far. It had been quite some time since I had a native of any kind in the collection, and I'm finding out just how much I missed it. With the native5 and para2 you really need one of each (in any flavor). In terms of s110v vs 204p, on paper, I'd take s110v, but I don't have enough real world experience with it yet to know if I could tell the difference between it and 204p. That said, the 204p on my Southard has preformed absolutely wonderfully and I would take it over almost any other steel on the market right now. In the end you can't go wrong with either, but if you can justify keeping both, definitely keep both.

I know no matter what happens that I will probably keep a green one! LOL

Thanks for all the comments and feel free to keep it up!

That never stopped most of us!

But if money is a problem you could sell both of them and buy the standard blade Native for your carry.

Personally if it is Native vs. PM2 I would choose PM2. I like the size better and I don't normally like lockback knives. But there are some people who due to circumstances or jurisdiction must carry under 3" blades so the PM2 is not an option for them.

Yeah, can't sell both! At least not right now, one should do me! I am in Michigan where they say the law is 3 inch blades or less but I do know some people that carry longer knives and haven't had any problems even when I cop has seen there knife but that could be that they carry somewhat beat up ones that aren't worth much!

Our statue only states the 3 inch size when it refers to using a knife in a crime and if the blade is 3 inches or more it adds a felony or something like that. Dont remember exact wording so I called the Michigan State police on three different occasions and with three different people on the phone got three different answers to what it legal and not legal.....go figure!! :D

Anyway, based on that above, I stay closed to the 3 inch mark as possible with my sak's, Salt 1 or Delica.

I am leaning towards the Native 5 but I wish it was a little lighter in weight so I am thinking about possibly the Manix 2 lightweight. I wish there was less choices! LOL

Didn't you all ready sell your P2?

No, I still have the PM2 and havent listed it yet but probably soon!

Is this a different one then? From your sales thread linked to in your post:

Sorry for the confusion. I did have two PM2 w/cts-204p and I still have one left. I also have one PM2 w/satin and digicamo, new in boxes and unused. :D

The Native 5 is a perfect EDC size and it sounds like you are leaning towards keeping it. The PM 2s seem to be hot with the market right now so I would sell that while the market rate is high!
