Recommendation? Paring knife sized EDC folder

I think a case Slimline trapper would be the best option, sure it's not a flipper but for paring knife size and non threatening...ect you can't beat a traditional folder.

Flicking out your knife in front of strangers is conduct they will judge you on. YMMV.
By which you will know the sheep from the goats . Those worth knowing will not be concerned .

Anyway , a gentleman will not readily " flick it out" in polite company .

I'd go for an Opinel. Non-threatening, amazing slicer, great for food, and people wouldn't bat an eye if you used it at a restaurant.

No clip, no flip, but whenever I handle my Okapi Genet, the expression “paring knife” comes to mind. Light, cheap, unobtrusive.

I am actually more likely to carry the similarly-sized Biltong, for its sheepsfoot blade.

If you buy from Baryonyx, Benjamin will screen out the duds, and for a couple of bucks will tune up the edge.

I like the Kershaw AM-3 and the Boker Urban Trapper a lot but have no way of getting my hands on them, so any info would be helpful.
I don't under stand.
You are in the USA . . .many knife stores sell the Urban Trapper.
If nothing else look to "the earth's biggest selection".

I dig the heck out of the Urban Trapper
Can even be carried like a pen in a shirt pocket.

I know that this one does not hit all your criteria, but it is a nice simple blade that looks good (when not beat up like mine), is easy to maintain, slips into dress pants without issues, and does not scare folks: the Spyderco Kiwi 3 with stainless scales.

I carry mine when I want to go really low profile, or when I have to dress up in something fancier than jeans or cargo shorts.
It is a slipjoint, which may be a problem for some, but in a light use knife for more formal occasions, I don't see this as an issue as long as I have something heftier in my car.

Enjoy.

When I think I’ll need a lightweight slicer, it’s the Urban Trapper that goes into my pocket.

Where I live nobody ever bats an eye at a pocket knife, but since you mentioned “not intimidating” as a criterion, I’ll note that the Urban Trapper isn’t at all threatening while open (it looks like a steak knife). While flipping it open with a flourish could cause knife-averse folks some concern, it’s easy to open it discretely when necessary.

Kershaw Dividend. Kershaw will send you a deep carry clip for it for free.

I gave a non-knife friend a choice of knives ranging from $30-$200 and he chose the Dividend. I put a 0560 clip on it and he carries it everyday.
