These are 1095 high carbon steel, all thermal cycling and heat treating done by me, in-house, for very fine grain. These are right at about RC 59, so they'll take an edge and yet still be easy enough to maintain. Blades feature full distal tapering and ground to just about .002" right behind the edge. The handles are cocobolo for the top and bottom, and lignum vitae for the middle, and all have mosaic pins.
The cross section of each of the handles is roughly diamond shaped, although it's hard to tell from the photo. Each handle was done just a pinch differently, with varying levels of beveling. They all feel great in the hand.
Blade length is 3-3/8", with just over 4"'handle. Overall length is just about 7-1/2".
Price: $SOLD shipped to anywhere in the continental US. Contact me for shipping elsewhere and we'll find a way. Two of these will be sold, and the final one will be kept by me for the house - we need a good knife!!
