Parker/Frost by Schrade?

Thanks again Bruce. I'm naive on how these things were or are done, and appreciate you taking the time and effort to spell it out.

I've only been collecting Schrades for a little over a year, and have certainly decided that Schrade wasn't always the kind of company that always "followed the book" and often changed the way they did things.

In some ways though, like many of their pocket knives, not much changed in 100 years.

The unpredictability makes them fun to collect.

A couple of these Old Timer 98OT have shown up lately, and I wondered if anyone knew if they were associated with the Parker Mink collaboration. It looks like the same mink etch. I do not own one like this.

One showed up on Ebay sometime last week or so as a "one of a kind" prototype 000, and sold for about $260.00. Not surprising, another one popped up. Probably a seller seeking a similar price.

It is a 98OT, has machine turned liners, and the shield is fancy. It is serialized too.

Just wondering if there is any known Schrade literature on this one. I would guess it was a SFO for someone. Not known if the box was definitly tied to this knife.

There was a Parker Shrade up on the bay, and I debated going for it.NIB single blade with a liner lock.Sold for $53.00. I guess I shoulda. Very good read here.
