Parkerizing question

Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I last posted!
I’m working on 3 of my M1 Garand knives and I’m going to be parkerizing this batch. I decided to have them media blasted since that is how the guns were and are prepped for parkerizing. My question is how high do I need to take the finish since they are going to be blasted then parkerized?

I take them to 220 or 400 and blast with 80 grit garnet. If you're blasting with glass beads i would say 400 minimum

Thanks, that’s really helpful. I’m pretty sure the original prep was 120-150 grit and I’m trying to avoid beads based on my research.
