so some of you may remember I posted and asked was the Indy show worth it earlier this week and that it was a pretty decent drive for me? Well I decided to go this morning.. EARLY...drove the 400+ miles....ALMSOT got a jay walking ticket from one of Indy's finest....thats a WHOLE 'NOTHER story...got in and walked and walked looking for the "goods"...I found 1 table with a SINGLE hell razor....I tried everything I could think of to see if this was a "secret code" table ...or if there was a gimmick to see the stash...I used some of the crazy dances, approaches, bribes I read about on here and everything...so ...I almost got shot :grumpy: they werent with busse and didnt even really know what the knife was or what the HELL I was doing...good thing I dont have much pride I guess....SO...what next... I decided to hunt the show management down and ask them where might I find "the table"....found next to the concession booth in the back....and I was told "they canceled".....seriously...yep talked to them myself earlier this week...I thought he was lying...he opened the vendor binder right there next to the concession stand and showed me...written write on top of the page...canceled per call (dated earlier this week)....reason given "someone" was sick)....SO who ever it was I hope your feeling better:thumbup: ...you missed out on a LOVELY 12 hour drive through the indiana, Illinois and Iowa country side!...does this count towards AT LEAST A PIGLET honor at this point??!!?!?!?! :p or at least gas recents towards a Bushwacker? :p


as a side note...I did have a transaction with KnifeHunter earlier this week...when I got home just now my girlfriend had already picked it up for me since I left before the PO opened... AT LEAST I didnt end up completely busse-less today!!!! Thanks KH!!

Sorry you made the drive for nothing rion - Amy-0 did post here on the forums to inform everybody that the show was canceled because thatmguy was in the hospital getting some tests done. It's always a good idea to check here on the forums for updates before you commit yourself to a drive that long.


You definitely earned some hog credentials, in my eyes :thumbup:
 
If you check your own thread when you asked if its worth it or not Jerry or Amy said that the show was canceled.
 
I like your sense of humor. Remember it could always have been worse somehow. Amy-O posted a thread here about the cancellation so check here more often before a show.

I had a really shitty week at work...working pretty late and wasnt on the forums " paying attention" and barely had time to lurk all week...I looked briefly last night when I got home to see if there was an update on first page or anything sticky posted near the top ( I ASSUMED thats where it would be if it was cancelled)... I was OBVIOUSLY wrong...:eek:

Im really not pissed or anything ...sorry if came off that way...drive was actually very relaxing...and its kinda of a funny "Im a dumbass" story on me...

and I do hope everything is ok with thatmguy...hospitals suc!

Sorry to hear that! Wow, that's a long way. But, it's good to know you're taking it so well. :thumbup:

Man that sucks. What sucks more is someone told amy she should make the thread a sticky and she said "no one reads them". I'm having a bad week too, hang in there.
 
Sorry you made the trip man.

When I was in the ER Monday I talked to the shop to get them to cancel as I wasn't sure what all was going to happen.

I wanted to be sure no one drove there for nothing.....(again)

Had a cath, so I couldn't drive until Friday afternoon, and can't lift over 10 lbs until next Tuesday.

Again, sorry for the mix up man.

I WILL be there in March....
 
What did they want for the TB, What kind of handles did it have? At least you got to see one in person. I've been to a ton of gunshows and still have not seen one Busse in Mo. Well at least you got to enjoy the race. :thumbup:
 
Ten lbs. ? I carry more than that on my belt daily (pistol, knives, ammo, light, phone........;);)

It would have taken more than a 100 trips at that rate to get Hammie's goods to the table:eek:

I am sorry that you made the drive however I bumped that thread to the top of the page every day and it clearly stated in the title that the show was cancelled. I understand that you are upset but it seems that you are "blaming" me or "Busse" that we did not sticky it.

I am sorry once again but honestly we have stickied threads before and it seems that they go unnoticed .When we keep the thread active we have the best resluts...I just wanted to let everyone know so I picked the best way:)
 
rion is showing good humour about it all. I would say he defintetly gets Hog points for doing the dance in front of various tables, hoping they will show him the Busse stuff. :thumbup:

Now if he already was a Hog, then he would know to blame the whole thing on drinking. Was drunk all week, missed Amy's post, woke up with a hangover, couldn't read the fuzzy text on screen, drove to Indy anyway.

That's how a Hog does it. These kids have so much to learn. :rolleyes:

I know you did, and I agree with you that no one usually reads stickies. It's been my experience on msg boards that a sticky thread gets VERY few views UNLESS there are no other stuck threads at the top. People are used to seeing a whole selection of stuck threads at the top so they just avoid it. You didn't do anything wrong. Don't put me on the MM list!
