Be it folder or fixed blade...having a choice of having a partially serrated blade or a full regular edge, which would you choose?
 
I know those serrated edges, partial or full, may be useful at times, but I would go for the full regular edge every time!!
 
Good question brother goose. I go for the plane blade every time!!! In fact I only have 2 knives in my accumulation that have serrations...A 187 thanks to my BBF and a 180.

John, yeah, I like that 187 a ton. I overlook the partial serration of the blade on that pup for the positive things I like about it.
Like having the perfect woman ;) but she can't cook...I'll eat out :)
 
Depends for my use, I think for just always having around me, its PE, but I do clean and de bone, quite a few deer, I like to split the ribs on them, and then the serrated edge really excels, so in my field pack their always will be a combo edge, that is A+ #1 for that particular job. my vote goes to Partially Serrated
 
If I can get PE, I will get that every time.

If The knife I want is CE, and is not offered in PE, I will buy it.

If the knife is fully SE, I will pass no matter how much I like the knife.

None of the poll selections really fit my preferences. My Intrepid has serrations and I kinda like it. I do not normally intentionally buy a knife for the serrations. I did order my custom 110 with serrations just because none of my other 110s had serrations. I like it. Where did you get this twisted poll idea? CNN?:D

I got it from "Access Hollywood" but forgot a "Leave Britney Alone" option ;)

Sirusly, I was using my 187 Intrepid on some pork and then read the recent Nighthawk thread. Was curious about what ya peeps like. :)
 
My most recent Buck temptation was in Wallymart and it involved a Nighthawk. My temptaton was thwarted after a close examination of the combination of the black coating and the serration. It didn't look good to me.
 
I usually try to avoid serrations where possible, just for cosmetic reasons. However as I get older, I seem to be warming to them...a bit.
 
Too many options...too many choices..... I am in over my head here, 'Goose!
As to Sneeches, I prefer the star-bellied ones, if that helps?
In regards to my favorite Buck model; the 124, they come both ways. Only problem is one must find a fourty-year-old to have the availablity, and then it could be gray or maroon or black scaled. Does it ever end?

ME TOO!!!!!!!!!! I have 2 serrated knives that are users and 1 in my collection,( because it was all I could find) ;)

Other than that plain edge all the way!

It looks as though the poll is a landslide as well....

I am surprised that the preference is so lopsided.
 
Goose. I voted no serrated.Can't stand them.:barf: Becouse I end up cutting myself big time with them.But that's just me.:D
BTW, Can you please post a pic of those new Intrepids you just
