Because it might have been a better fir for wherever you initially put it?
Because knife parts - Wouldn't belong in General Knife Discussion. If you were talking about the whole knife, that is different.
If this turns in a potential WTB thread or how much does x cost?, we are in a better place than in the discussion forums, given the way the rules are written.
