If you go to my website I have pic's of the building of Bertha. I also should of gone with a H press design.;):D

Would there be a benefit to going with a 16 gpm pump?

I would have to look at my notes. But I think (scary) that you would need a bigger motor to maintain the same ram speed. My speed is 2" per second. I sure someone else could help us out here.;)
Shawn beat me to the punch. Thanks Bubba.

Is there any real difference between tie-rod hydraulic cylinder and welded clevis? I found that tie-rod are almost twice as cheap for the same bore size and stroke.

not that i know much about any of this, but of those listed some have higher psi ratings and larger shafts. the cheapest one has 1.5 inch shaft and 2500 psi rating that s the first link. the last one has 3000 psi rating and the shaft is 2.5 inches i think that has alot to do with the price? actually if u click on the bottom of any of those pages it has a faq and tells why the diference is
