Parts request: How long do they normally take?

I have experienced the same great service from Cold Steel under the new ownership that I received under the old ownership>>>> NONE!

They did not answer emails or parts requests before and they still do not answer any requests!!

For me - the old Cold Steel customer service over the phone or email never worked. No reply to any email I ever sent. Phone requests were never sent. But, when I would go to the parking lot sale - amazing customer service. I recieved free sheaths for cold steel knives I purchase on the bay. Had knives / machetes sharpened that day for free. Received free boxes for knives I purchased on the bay. Etc, Etc. Awesome customer service in person.

I have not had any dealings with the new Cold Steel.

Agreed, even the original cold steel was hit or miss when it came to contacting you back. I got a pocket clip once out of the blue after contacting them 6 months prior.

So far, I haven’t heard anyone say they got a left handed pocket clip after asking for one, on models that are supposed to come with them. Ever since GSM bought the name, no lefty pocket clips have been supplied with their folders. That’s pretty shoddy work. I’m not a lefty but that alone would drive me away if I were.

Considering the geopolitical situation of the world, I don't even get why people are buying Sold Steel, but this is a (cof cof) controversial topic. I'm still chasing stuff from the Lynn Thompson Era, but this is (literally) coming to an end.

Anyway, I had a first hand, personal experience with a Cold Steel employee. And I live overseas! So...
