Hi Jack, my weekend didn't go as planned so I wasn't able to get the sheath out. The surgery tapped me almost dry, I'm transferring some money from savings and will get the knife out in the next few days. Don't worry, I'll post when it ships and include a tracking number.

Heber, I just got it in today. Have school tomorrow night so I won't be able to actually work with it until Thurs at the earliest. One item of note with it, it is the first knife that I have gotten in from HI that the wife actually said she liked it enough to actually want it! That's a PLUS!

Got the knife last friday, have been out of town until yesterday.
My first impression, Beautiful knife but the hand guard really annoys me. It came with a nice patina but pretty dull I will touch it up. I wish the hand guard was more like passaround 3 the bird and trout knife where the guard was only on the bottom not on top and bottom. I can't choke up on the blade at all and that's going to be a problem. This seems more like a fighting knife than a utility knife to me but we will see. I will get it in the kitchen and out to the woods for a good test. Deer season starts this weekend to so maybe The knife will get lucky.

Hope you get a big Buck to test it out right! My son got a 9 point the other day with his bow and to our dismay the only knife in the truck was the BAS I bought him off of a blem sale. He used that khurki to field dress that Buck and it did a great job, although it was a bit awkward...... good luck with the hunt!
